Osage scales, dry and ready to use, doesn't require stabilizing. Osage has several names including Bois d'Arc, Hedge, and Osage Orange. Osage has been used for thousands of years; Native Americans used it to make bows and has been widely used as fence post that outlast generations. Makes nice handle material. Naturally stable and should last years.
